Dr. Hoffman also called for an incrase in the coordination of health care services for families. "This report's agenda is an unparalleled opportunity to make a difference in the quality of life for all of America's children," saidDr. Hoffman. "It will take the efforts of all people concerned with the health of our nation's children to implement the action steps outlined in this agenda. I am confident that we will succeed."
The National Action Agenda reflects the culmination in a series of activities over the past year, including the Fun Run in the nation's Capitol with Dan O'Brien, Olympic Decathlon Gold Mealist. The Eight Major National Goals of Hoffman's report are:
- 1. Public understanding that health is a process of pursuing health rather than simply avoiding illness.
- 2. Promotin of access to all noninvasive forms of health development.
- 3. Nerve function assessment for all children before school and throughout their public education.
- 4. Recognition thatroper body function cannot be possible without proper nerve function.
- 5. National awareness on how different medications may negatively impact the growing child's nervous system.
- 7. Determination of medication's effects on a child's l.Q.
- 8. Establishment of guidelines for proper nrvous system function.
